MOSCOW, December 22 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent remarks on China reflect the importance of friendship and cooperation between Moscow and Beijing, Hua Chunying, a spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said.
During an annual news conference earlier in the week, Putin praised the Russian-Chinese relations saying they had reached “an unprecedented level of trust” in their history.
“President Putin's remarks fully reflect the Russian people's friendship towards Chinese, as well as Russian leaders' desire to develop bilateral relations,” Xinhua news agency quoted Hua as saying.
The diplomat also said that in the recent years Russia achieved remarkable results in the development of its economy and living standards.
“We are optimistic about Russia's development prospects and are convinced that the Russian people, with the leadership of President Putin, will achieve the goal of national revitalization,” she added.
