Russian synchronized swimmers win women’s gold at the 2015 FINA World Championships

KAZAN, July 26. /TASS/. Russian synchronised swimmers Svetlana Romashina and Natalia Ishchenko have won women’s duet technical gold at the 2015 FINA World Championships with 95.4672 points.

This is the second gold medal for Russia team. Earlier, Romashina won gold in in women's solo technical, scoring 95.2680.

Huang Xuechen and Sun Wenyan of China won the silver medal (93. 3279), and Yukiko Inui and Risako Mitsui of Japan won bronze (92.0079).

Romashina, 25, and Ishchenko, 29, are three-time Olympic champions, winning 17 gold medals at world championships.

The 2015 FINA (the International Swimming Federation) World Championships is underway in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, between July 24 and August 9 bringing together some 2,400 athletes from over 190 countries.
