KAZAN, July 26. /TASS/. Russian synchronised swimmers Darina Valitova and Alexander Maltsev have won mixed duet technical silver at the 2015 FINA World Championships with 88.2986 points.
This is the second medal for Russia team at the championships. Earlier, Svetlana Romashina and Natalia Ishchenko won women’s duet technical gold and Romashina won gold in in women's solo technical.
Christina Jones and Bill May of the United States won the gold medal, scoring 88.5108. Manila Flamini and Giorgio Minisini won bronze (86.3640).
Mixed duets debuts the programme of the world aquatic championships.
The 2015 FINA (the International Swimming Federation) World Championships is underway in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, between July 24 and August 9 bringing together some 2,400 athletes from over 190 countries.
