About 12 years ago photographer Alexander Khimushin went on a journey searching for small-numbered peoples and ethnic tribes who might disappear soon. He wanted to make their portraits and thereby to perpetuate them. The best works of Alexander are included in the project The World in Faces that was a big success at the UN exhibition in 2019. Regardless of the fact that Alexander has been to 86 countries of the world, the most special place for him is Siberia. Currently Alexander is getting ready to open his personal exhibition in Paris, in the headquarters of UNESCO. It will be devoted to the International Day of the World’s Indigenous People.
