MOSCOW, September 10 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting on Wednesday on a draft state armaments program for the 2016-2025 period, the press service of the Kremlin reported.

The meeting will be attended by the head of the Kremlin administration Sergei Ivanov, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, Russian presidential aide Andrei Belousov, federal ministers and representatives of the Defense Ministry.

On Monday, Putin signed a decree on the abolition of the Federal Agency for the supply of arms, military and special equipment and material supplies, and the Federal Service for Defense Contracts. The functions exercised by the said agencies will be shared between the Interior Ministry, the Emergency Situations Ministry, the Defense Ministry, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Federal Security Service, the Federal Drug Control Service, the Federal Protective Service and the Federal Penitentiary Service. The decision to liquidate the agencies was taken at a meeting of Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
