Soyuz spaceship with two on board fails during launch

2018/10/11

A state of emergency occurred during the launch of the Soyuz spaceship with two people of board.
The crew will perform emergency landing in Kazakhstan.

The new - a Russian cosmonaut and an American astronaut - are alive.

Russia's Federal Space Agency Roscosmos was broadcasting the launch of the Soyuz-FG vehicle with the Soyuz MS-10 manned spacecraft from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The live broadcast was stopped when an accident occurred.

The spaceship was supposed to deliver Russian cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin and NASA astronaut Nick Hague to the International Space Station (ISS).

It was reported that their lives are out of danger, even though the crew had to experience an overload of 6g.

The engines of the second stage were cut off, but the crew landed safely in Kazakhstan, news agencies report.
