2016/07/17

Photos of Jacques Dupaquier, a French scientist, historian, academician of the French Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, demographer, and at the same time a Marxist and a French Communist Party member who traveled to the Soviet Union several times: in 1956, 1964 and 1975. "Even in the time of Gorbachev we did not have such freedom in the USSR as in 1956," recalled Dupaquier in the interview, "There was no police control of our delegation, so I separated away from the group and wandered through the streets all alone for hours."
