UFA, July 9 /TASS/. The BRICS group of countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) is becoming more oriented at practical results, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, who is Russia’s Sherpa at BRICS, said on Thursday.

"BRICS is coming of age, and this maturity process is getting deeper and more oriented at practical results and, consequently, at coordination," Ryabkov stressed.

The Russian deputy foreign minister said that the Strategy of Economic Partnership till 2020, which specifies plans of joint work, was one of the summit’s results. "After the BRICS summit we will get down to forming a list of concrete infrastructure and innovation projects. We start working out common approaches to the BRICS activities," Ryabkov said.

"Naturally, the macroeconomic tasks remain. BRICS will continue seeking the implementation of the IMF reform. What we have adopted now are only concrete agreements," the Russian diplomat stressed.

"I cannot think of a single element contained in the Ufa Declaration or the Action Plan which is not concrete. They either reveal common understanding or contain plans for expanding cooperation or the specifics of everyday work. These documents are absolutely concrete," Ryabkov said.
