RIO shopping centres in Russian cities evacuated after bomb threats

MOSCOW, June 20. /TASS/. Customers and personnel of the RIO shopping centres in several Russian cities are evacuated after anonymous telephone bomb threats, a police source told TASS on Saturday.

"The RIO shopping centres in the cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl and in the Moscow region are being evacuated," the source said.

According to preliminary information, anonymous bomb threats were made from Ukraine’s territory.

No official information is available to TASS yet.

On Monday a caller advised bombs would explode in the RIO shopping centres in Moscow and Yaroslavl. At least 4,500 people were evacuated from one shopping centre in Yaroslavl and much more - from three giant centres in the city of Moscow and from one in the Moscow region.

They were searched for bombs and all cleared.
