BISHKEK, May 5. /TASS/. Kyrgyzstan plans to complete talks on the draft protocols necessary for the accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) before May 8, 2015, the Kyrgyzstani Economic Ministry’s press service said on Tuesday.

"The interdepartmental commission under the republican government for talks on the accession to the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as to the Eurasian Economic Community was instructed to do its utmost to overcome differences with the EAEU member states and continue talks on draft protocols," the press service said.

Up to date, the sides have disagreements on two items. In particular, Kyrgyzstan would like to keep preferential customs duties for goods imported to the republic in the format of infrastructure projects envisioned by intergovernmental agreement signed earlier between Kyrgyzstan and China.

According to the republican Economic Ministry, "consensus for all matters of dispute" will make it possible to implement accords of the presidents of the EAEU member states with the Kyrgyzstani leadership "in order to sign the protocols on May 8, 2015."

Kyrgyzstan signed an agreement on the accession to the EAEU in December 2014.
