Boeing-737 with dead engine makes safe landing in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, March 25. /TASS/. A Boeing-737 passenger jet, of UTair airlines, en route from Moscow’s Vnukovo airport to St. Petersburg has made a safe emergency landing at the airport of destination after one of its engines reportedly went dead, the managing company of Pulkovo airport has told TASS.


The plane touched the runway at 12:35 Moscow time, an airport source told TASS.


The air carrier told TASS none of the passengers was hurt.


"The plane landed in a routine fashion. The aircraft suffered no damages and none of those on board was hurt," UTair said.


The plane had 73 passengers and six crew on board.
