SOCHI, October 24 (RIA Novosti) – The United States found a unipolar world too difficult to handle and is now trying to create a resemblance of a "quasi-bipolar" system, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday.
"A monopolar world turned out to be uncomfortable, 'unliftable' and hard to control for the so-called 'self-appointed' leader itself. Hence today's attempts, already at a new historical stage, to recreate some kind of resemblance of a 'quasi-bipolar' system as a convenient model for reestablishing American leadership," Putin said at the 11th meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club.
