MOSCOW, October 6 (RIA Novosti) - Most of Russian President Vladimir Putin's birthday presents are kept in the presidential library, the Kremlin spokesman said Monday.
"Traditionally, most of the gifts are sent to the presidential library and stored there," Dmitry Peskov said. He also added that Putin sets aside some gifts from friends and acquaintances for himself.
On October 7, Putin turns 62. The president has taken a day off and will celebrate his birthday in the Siberian taiga, away from populated areas, Peskov said. No official meetings have been planned for the president on this day.
