MOSCOW, October 6 (RIA Novosti) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has met with permanent members of the Russian Security Council to discuss, among other things, the ceasefire in southeastern Ukraine and ways to counteract the radical Islamic State group.
Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday participants have noted the fragility of the ceasefire regime in Ukraine, notably in the area surrounding the airport of Donetsk.
Preparations for the upcoming meeting of CIS and Eurasian Economic Union in Minsk.
The meeting was attended by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, Kremlin chief of staff Sergei Ivanov, FSB chief Alexander Bortnikov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev and other senior Russian officials.
