Investigative Committee Names Alleged Perpetrator of Grozny Attack

MOSCOW, October 5 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Investigative Committee has stated that the alleged perpetrator of the attack which took place before a concert in Grozny is the 19-year-old local Opti Mudarov.


"The identity of the alleged suspect has been established. He is the 19-year-old local resident Opti Mudarov," reads the statement of the Investigative Committee.


On Saturday evening, a concert was scheduled to celebrate City Day in Grozny. At the entrance to the concert hall, the policemen noticed a suspicious young man. When the policemen decided to inspect him and establish his identity, the man exploded himself. Four policemen died and four others were injured.


Earlier the Interior Office reported that the suspect was a resident from Staropromyslovsk, who left home two months ago.
