MOSCOW, September 11 (RIA Novosti) – Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to assess the readiness of important state bodies in Russia’s Far East to operate in wartime conditions, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Thursday.
The president ordered to check the readiness of regional administrations and state bodies dealing with industry and trade, telecommunications, transport and other vital infrastructure areas “to perform their tasks in wartime conditions,” the minister said.
The announcement coincided with combat readiness snap checks for the Eastern Military District.
