Putin Says Russia Needs to Develop Without Fencing Off Outside World

YALTA, August 14 (RIA Novosti) – Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday told political party leaders that Russia needs to focus on the country's development while not closing off the outside world, nor breaking ties with partners.

“We need to build our country calmly, adequately, and effectively without fencing off the outside world and not breaking relations with [our] partners, but doing so without being arrogant,” Putin said.
