MOSCOW, December 20 (RIA Novosti) – A Russian man has been accused of killing his girlfriend right after she saved him from a suicide attempt, investigators said Friday.
The man, from the city of Cheboksary in the Chuvash republic, had tried to commit suicide by hanging himself with a bandage after a quarrel with his girlfriend, investigators said in a statement.
The woman apparently thwarted his suicide attempt by cutting the noose with the knife.
“As a result of this, a scandal again erupted between them, and after that the suspect took a kitchen knife and stabbed the woman in the back,” the statement said.
