Abandoned Religious And Cultural Heritage

We are in the Lipetsk region of Russia to visit the mansion of the Muromtsevs and an unsual church in Balovnevo village.

Vladimir Church is a nice example of the cult architecture of early classicism on the territory of the Lipetsk region. It was built in 1797-1823.




Nearby is a tower in the “English gothic style”.



The complex existing today formed in the last quarter of the XVIII – beginning of XIX century. Its construction was started by Matvey Muromtsev, the first city governor of Tula. Unfortunately the main outhouse is in the poor condition today.
