The combined wealth of the 1,000 richest people in the United Kingdom totals almost 450 billion pounds ($685 bln), according to the list.
The number of billionaires in the UK has increased almost tenfold since the first publication of the Rich List in 1989, from nine to 88 in 2013. The list featured 77 billionaires last year.
The Sunday Times Rich List is a list of the 1,000 wealthiest people or families in the United Kingdom, updated annually in April and published as a magazine supplement by British national newspaper The Sunday Times.
The Rich List is not limited to British citizens and it includes individuals and families born overseas but who predominantly reside in Britain.
