It is a bit sad photo report about the end of the world USSR. The pictures were taken in 1990-1991 by photographers George Steinmetz, Peter Turnley who visited the country at that hard time.

Such trade “right from hands” was illegal till 1992.
There appeared a new kind of service… You know what service we mean.
Russian women escape to the west, Asia, Africa…
“We trust the Russian Parliament. It has our hope!” New leaders gave new hope.
Perestroika left behind.
Ahead was only suspense…
