Sochi was (is) a Russian and Soviet most popular resort city. It's located in sub-tropical climate making it stand out in all Russia. During USSR era when people couldn't leave the country for the warm resorts of other countries they had to come to the Black Sea towns like Sochi so it was really, really crowded. In 1988 a Belgium photographer visited the place and took some awesome black and white photos of the place. Let's take a look:
