Ukhta was an oil capital of one of the Northern Russian regions. It's a home to one time Russian most rich man Roman Abramovich who also earned his fortune selling oil assets. However besides oil it was a pretty traditional Russian place - kids were enjoying watching bears wrestle and more on those photos of Ukhta.
But first of all oil. Oil was known here since XV century, the local tribes were described as getting oil from the surface of the river and using it as medicine.
And here comes the bears. Kids as young as one year old already were getting used to contact a bear.

Older kids were not very much surprised by a sight of a furry creature.
And used to feed them from hands.
