Missile Carrying Tu 22 M3

This March blogger Ivan Stalich was lucky to see flights of missile carrying Tu-22M3. They landed in Tolmachevo on their way to the Russian-Tajik training and back. Ivan took the chance and made these photos.

Multi-mode long-range supersonic missile bomber Tu-22M3 is intended to destroy important targets on an enemy territory. Crews of Tu-22M3 hit conditional base camps at the foothills of the East Pamir.
Wing variable swing of Tu-22M3 is 20°-65°.
Placed in service in 1983, - 1983 год, army accepred in March 1989.
Generally 268 units have been made.
Tu-22M3, (according to NATO codification - “Backfire-С”).
As for its dimentions it could be compared with the longest version of Boeing-737-900, but its takeoff weight is 52 tons more!

Another military report from blogger smit-smitty. In Primorye he has visited an elimination round of the all-Russian competition "Gunfire masters-2016". Twelve teams from all the Eastern military district gathered on the ground field in Sergeevka to demonstrate their skills of shooting from mortars and launchers.

Tiksi, Severe Northern Oasis

Blogger Ivan Dementievsky has had a long trip this March, Tiksi (Yakutia, Russia) was the final destination. He came there at night and could not see much, but high snow. At dawn he found out how vast, devastated and lonely the snowy place looked like.

It is strange to see these houses abandoned. Some are still on sale but probably noone will prevent you from settling there for free.
Some snowdrifts are phenomenally high, at least it's fun for children - they slide down joyfully.
Tiksi is divided into at least two parts, the remote one at the airport has such a wonderful pillar with indicators of different cities and distances to them.
You can imagine the rave of blizzard here, it may last for a couple of weeks. Perhaps, after all the town is fully covered with snow.

The moment of capture and first days after. Rather dramatic like the war itself. What a mix of different qualities might emerge - cowardice, heroism, despair and joy. We are not going to show the scenes of propaganda, violance and humiliation.
On these images opponents show interest for each other and do not express cruelty. But we surely know and never forget that millions of Soviet soldiers were finally killed in Nazi camps.
However, let this publication be more about curiosity. Someone is getting medical aid, another one is treated to a cigarette...
