Russian city Petrozavodsk was hit by a cyclone Daniella today which resulted in very heavy snowfalls. In a matter of just few hours city was drowning in snow. Sometimes the snow piles were as high as almost 1.5 meter tall. Petrozavodsk is a 300,000 city, capital of Karelia region bordering Finland and Norway. Not a small city, so the traffic in an instant got stuck. Huge city trolleybuses - electric powered buses are not meant to go thru the thick layers of snow on the city streets so they started stopping urgently and blocking the way for others.
