Russian President Vladimir Putin said that "the support of compatriots" abroad remains a priority for the authorities. According to Putin, Russia will do everything to make this assistance more effective and less bureaucratiс, so that every compatriot could set forth their suggestions and proposals, whereas Russia's reaction would be quick as as effective as possible."
Putin also said that there was a special government program to improve interaction with Russians living abroad.
