2015/11/03

The Grozny TV channel reported on a prevented attempt on the life of Ramzan Kadyrov, the Head of the Chechen Republic. About 20 people were detained on 1 November. They gathered in the boiler-house of the Argun mosque. Ilyas Khizriev led the group. He is called a recruiter of the Islamic State in Russia. Ramzan Kadyrov talked in person with the detainees and their relatives. The Head of the Chechen Republic wrote about this meeting, which had lasted over 5 hours, in his Instagram.

According to Kadyrov, 'the so-called sophomore imam got the young people snowed. They had not the vaguest idea of Abū Bakr al-Baghdādi and his patrons. They were instilled with hatred to the Head of the Chechen Republic, as being the main enemy of Wahhabism.'

Kadyrov said that the young people 'claimed sincerely that they realized their faults, repented them, and would get back on the right path. Their parents ensured that they would tightly control their behaviour.'
