MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is due to attend the seventh annual Russia Calling! investment forum on Tuesday organized by the VTB Capital, an investment bank part of the VTB Group.
"This is a traditional annual forum attended by investors, portfolio investors, VTB partners, foreign companies that have been present on our market for a long time. The president will communicate with them," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday.
The Russian leader is not expected to deliver his traditional speech. "This will be a dialogue with the forum participants. The president will answer the questions of the investors in a free mode," Peskov said.
In the run-up to the forum, Putin met with VTB CEO Andrei Kostin, who has organized the event.
Moscow is due to host the VTB Capital’s seventh annual investment forum Russia Calling! on October 13-14. The forum was held for the first time in 2009.
The participants discuss the priorities for developing Russia’s economy, encouraging regional growth and the key trends on the markets of debt and stock capital along with other issues in the sphere of investment and business.
The plenary session is traditionally opened by the president’s welcoming remarks. The program of the event also includes a range of panel sessions involving the Russian government officials, the heads of major international corporations and the leading Russian companies.
