MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. Russia hopes that the successful completion of internal political processes in Sudan will help normalize the situation in the country, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday at talks with Sudan’s Vice President Hassabo Mohamed Abdul-Rahman.
"We are closely following the developments in Sudan in the context of national dialogue launched on the initiative of the [Sudanese] president," Lavrov said. "We sincerely wish our Sudanese friends to successfully complete this process, including the adoption of the country’s constitution. We hope that this will allow to stabilize the political situation, normalize relations inside the country, strengthen state institutions, and guarantee rights and freedoms of all Sudanese people," he added.
