China celebrates the 70th Anniversary of the end of WWII these days, but the US didn't come despite the invitation.
The State Department claimed that they didn't know about the parade in China.
China though regards this date as that of global and national importance. 70 years ago the Chinese people conquered the Japanese military. Russian President Vladimir Putin is one of the honorary guests among dozens of world leaders who came to the parade in Beijing.
Despite the fact, that Obama acted not only obnoxiously, but also tactlessly, as he had got the invitation beforehand, it also had quite a symbolic character. It should be noted, that the White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest claimed that they had not been informed of the Beijing's celebration. But then how can be explained the fact that the US President insisted on the Western and some Eastern countries' leaders not to arrive in China?
It is clear, that the US and China are no longer the partners. The Americans also got used to playing in favour of those opposing China given the latest territorial claims in the Asian Pacific region.
