Ukraine wants $50bn from Russia for Crimea

2015/09/24

Ukraine does not intend to make concessions to Russia as far as the Crimea is concerned. The head of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine, Pavel Klimkin, excluded the compromise on the territorial affiliation of the peninsula. Kiev will not forget the so-called annexation of the Crimea by Russia. Russia, according to Klimkin, should pay Ukraine a compensation of $50 billion for the peninsula. Klimkin is convinced that the international court will force Moscow to pay the damages.
