2015/09/16

MOSCOW, September 17. /TASS/. Russia’s Emergencies Ministry has dispatched the 38th humanitarian aid convoy to Donbas, the ministry’s press service told TASS on Thursday.

The convoy consists of more than 100 trucks that will deliver over 1,200 tons of humanitarian aid, including foodstuffs, medications and textbooks for the students of Donbas.

On the way to the war-torn region, the convoy will be divided into two equal parts. One will head to the Donetsk region, and the other one to the Luhansk region after undergoing all the procedures at the checkpoints.

Deputy Emergencies Minister Vladimir Artamonov said on Tuesday that next convoys were planned for September 24 and 30.

Since August 2014, Russia has delivered more than 45,000 tons of humanitarian cargos to Ukraine’s embattled Donbas region.
