MOSCOW, September 26. /TASS/. The Russian Football Union (RFU) will pay off all outstanding wage arrears to former head coach of Russia’s national team Fabio Capello on September 28, Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said Saturday on the Rossiya 2 TV channel.

"I hope on Monday we will pay off all debts to Fabio Capello," Mutko said.

The Russian national football team’s coaching staff saw a major overhaul this summer. The previously Italian-dominated staff was dismissed along with former Head Coach Capello and Russia’s Leonid Slutsky was appointed in August to take the helm of the team.

The RFU announced on July 14 that it reached a mutual agreement with Capello on the early termination of the contract with the Italian specialist concerning his work in the capacity of the national team’s head coach.

The sides agreed that the RFU will pay Capello 6 million euros for early termination of labor relations.
