Luhansk, Donetsk to urge Kiev to hold Donbas polls in February 2016 — LPR envoy

MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. The self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics plan to propose Kiev at the meeting in the Belarusian capital on Tuesday to hold the elections in Donbas on February 21, 2016, LPR’s negotiator Vladislav Deinego has said.

"We have prepared a schedule with an adequate timeframe for implementing each political point of the package of measures to break the impasse. It was drafted based on the current legislation of Ukraine and the regulation of the Verkhovna Rada and also the norms of the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR)," Deinego told the LuganskInformCenter.

"We have defined the date for holding local elections in Donbas as February 21, 2016," he said.
