TEHERAN, July 10. /TASS/. Iran’s team of negotiators will not bargain national dignity in nuclear talks with the P5+1 group of international mediators, Iran’s top negotiator, Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi said on Friday.
Speaking to journalists, he pledged the Iranian negotiators would continue talks to reach agreement even if it took going beyond the deadline. But, the stressed, it never meant that Iran would bargain its national dignity.
"The Western governments are not bound to their verbal promises and change them at the time of writing the context of the deal," he said, adding that his country’s delegation would observe all existing red lines.
Takht-Ravanchi left Vienna, the venue of the Iran-P5+1 nuclear talks, to return to Teheran to attend the funeral of his wife’s mother.
Talks between Iran and the six powers have thrice been extended in the past ten days. Originally, it was planned to sign a comprehensive agreement by June 30. Foreign ministers will make another attempt to reach the deal on Saturday.
