MOSCOW, June 23 /TASS/. A Russian defence ministry satellite launched by a Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket from the Plesetsk spaceport has been successfully put into designated orbit, Dmitry Zenin, a spokesman for the Russian space defence forces, told TASS on Tuesday.
"The space craft has been put into the designated orbit. The satellite separated in a routine mode," he said.
It is the first Soyuz -2.1b rocket launched this year and a second military launch this month.
The Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with military satellite onboard took off from Plesetsk on June 5 for the first time since a Progress M-27M cargo spaceship acciden in April.
