2015/05/25

RIGA, May 25. /TASS/ Russia wants to resume dialogue and normal relations with Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, speaker of the lower house of the Russian parliament, the State Duma, Sergey Naryshkin said.

"The Baltic countries are independent, sovereign states. And we, Russia, would like to resume dialogue and normal relations with them," he told the Latvian television.

According to Naryshkin, to improve relations between Latvia and Russia it’s necessary to resolve the issue of predominantly Russian-speaking non-citizens residing in the republic and to stop the "glorification of Nazism." When asked what steps Moscow would be prepared to take, Naryshkin said that "Russia was always ready for a dialogue."
