MOSCOW, May 25. /TASS/. It will take up to two days to repair a water pipeline supplying water to several populated localities in the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), a chief engineer of a local infrastructure company said on Sunday.

The water mains running near the town of Zolotoye at the line of engagement was damaged in shelling earlier on Sunday leaving about 500,000 people in a number of LPR settlements without water.

Alexei Anchishkin, the chief engineer of Luganskvoda Co, told LuganskInformCentre repais works would begin on Monday morning. He said that water supplies to Karbonit, Zolotoye and Pervomaisk had been halted. "Previously, there were two water pipes here. One pipe was destroyed during combat operation back in February and now the second one has been damaged," he said. "The settlements of Bryanka, Stakhanov and Kirovsk are left without water. Water supplies to Alchevsk, Antratsit and Krasny Luch have been halved.".
