Exit poll: Kazakhstan’s incumbent president winning presidential elections

ASTANA, April 26. /TASS/. Kazakhstan’s incumbent President and the leader of the ruling party Nur Otan (The Light of the Fatherland), Nursultan Nazarbayev, is winning a landslide victory at Sunday’s early presidential elections, according to an exit poll conducted by the public association Institute of Democracy.

According to the poll, Nazarbayev is scoring 97.5% of the vote.

His rivals, Turgum Syzdykov of the Communist People’s Party and self-nominee Abelgazi Kusainov, the chairman of the Trade Union Federation, are getting 1.87 and 0.63% of the vote, respectively.
