MOSCOW, October 13 (RIA Novosti) - A 4.9-magnitude earthquake was registered off the eastern coast of Kamchatka in Russia’s Far East, according to the Kamchatka Branch of the Geophysical Survey of the Russian Academy of Science.
The earthquake’s epicenter was located in the Gulf of Kamchatka, 140 km south of the Ust-Kamchatsky district. The hypocenter of the quake was 37.9 km under the surface.
The earthquake didn’t result in any injuries or property damage. A 4.4-magnitude earthquake was registered in the same area Monday night, October 13.
