Russia, Japan Discuss Relations, Situation in Ukraine: Kremlin

MOSCOW, September 21 (RIA Novosti) - In a telephone conversation Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe discussed Russia-Japan relations, as well as international affairs, including the situation in Ukraine, the Kremlin press service reported Sunday.


"The leaders have discussed the key issues of Russia-Japan relations and exchanges opinions on current international affairs, including the situation in Ukraine," the press service said in a statement.


The leaders of the two countries agreed to continue bilateral talks on different levels.
