MOSCOW, October 1 (RIA Novosti) – The construction of international sea port terminal for cruise and cargo ships in Russia's Kaliningrad Region will cost 8.5 billion rubles ($214 million), according to the document published on the Russian government website Wednesday.
The construction of the port is to be fulfilled in the framework of the program "Russia's Transport System Development" for 2010-2020, in which the changes were made, in particular, in the "Construction of Port Infrastructure in the seaport of Kaliningrad" sub-program presupposes two stages of implementation.
"The first stage at the cost of 8.5 billion rubles ($214 million) involves the construction of an international passenger sea terminal with the yacht marina in the Pioneer town, Kaliningrad Region," the document reads.
The second stage, which will cost 400 million rubles ($10 million), involves construction of a deep-water port in the region.
According to the project, the construction will start in 2015 and complete by 2020.
