2014/06/04

MOSCOW, June 4 (RIA Novosti) — The second volume of the 'White Book', a Russian Foreign Ministry's work on human rights violations in Ukraine, will be released in June, the ministry's human rights representative Konstantin Dolgov said Wednesday.

"The book will come out, we are finishing the preparations, and what is most important, it will be available in a digital version. It will come out in the nearest weeks, it will come out in June," he said.

He said it was impossible to mention all cases of rights violations in Ukraine on behalf of its authorities in spring, including the tragic events in Odessa, when more than 70 people died in a fire after the clashes between independence supporters and nationalists, and the recent airstrike on Luhansk administration building, which killed eight.

"We hope not a single violation will be left unnoticed," Dolgov said.

The book will be distributed to international organizations and at formal press events.

Earlier this month, the Russian Foreign Ministry compiled the first volume of the book that described the most heinous human rights violations perpetrated by Kiev during the crisis in Ukraine from late November 2013 to the end of March 2014.
