This old church standing on the plain of Kargapol, Russia, is open to wind and weather, wasteland is spreading for many kilometres around. The church is dated 1655 being one of the oldest architectural monuments of the Arkhangelsk region. Right now we are going to have a closer look at it and to visit the neighbouring village Saunino where one more equally old church complex is situated.
