MOSCOW, February 14 (RIA Novosti) – A Russian man has been detained by authorities on suspicion of killing his girlfriend during an argument about the woman’s snoring.
The 38-year-old man repeatedly hit his 32-year-old common-law wife, who succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital two days later, investigators said in a statement Friday.
“The culprit said that the couple had been arguing over the victim’s loud snoring,” the statement said.
The incident occurred Saturday in the Tula Region south of Moscow, investigators said.
A criminal case has been launched into grievous bodily harm resulting in death. The suspect faces up to 15 years in prison if charged and convicted.
