Moscow Temperature Breaks Century-Old Record

MOSCOW, December 25 (RIA Novosti) – Wednesday was Moscow’s warmest December 25 since 1910, the Fobos weather monitoring center said.


"The record of 3.1 degrees Celsius [37.58 degrees Fahrenheit], set in 1910, was shattered today in Moscow. Air temperatures of up to 3.5 degrees Celisius [38.3 degrees Fahrenheit] were registered this afternoon,” a weather expert said.


More weather records are expected on Thursday, she said.
