MOSCOW, November 5 (RIA Novosti) – Moscow police have seized about 100 kilograms of heroin during a special operation, the head of Russia’s drug control agency said Tuesday.
“The operation is ongoing. It’s still too early to speak about its final results,” Viktor Ivanov, currently on a visit to Lithuania, told RIA Novosti.
Some 30,000 Russians die from heroin use every year, according to official statistics.
