MOSCOW, August 17 (RIA Novosti) – A passenger ship has collided with a barge in Siberia, killing at least four people, Russia’s Emergencies Ministry said Saturday.

The accident occurred on the River Irtysh in the Omsk Region in southwestern Siberia on Saturday morning.

“According to preliminary information, 39 people were injured in the collision between the passenger ship and the barge, of whom four died,” the regional branch of the Emergencies Ministry said in a statement Saturday.
