Forests of the Moscow region have a lot of abandoned structures: some of them have already turned into ruins, to others time has been more merciful. Most of the objects are military or scientific ones, and there are many summer camps. On the territory of one abandoned summer camp of the Moscow region there is a small cemetery of retro cars. We are going to visit this place right now.
GAZ-M (on the photo above) is the first car to meet us at the camp.
This car was being made in 1936-43 and was a copy of an American Ford Model B 40A Fordor Sedan.
Both cars have similar exterior but inside thay are rather different. GAZ-M was adapted for Soviet roads.
It’s the cabin of ZIL-157, this truck was being made for 36 years (1958-1994).
Сhevrolet was produced by the Canadian branch of General Motors and Ford in the years of WWII. In general 350 000 trucks of different modifications were made, many of them were exported to the USSR.
