MOSCOW, June 7 (RIA Novosti) – Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Friday thanked the more than 1 million Facebook users who “like” his page on the world’s largest social-networking site.
“Thanks to everyone who is showing interest in the government’s work,” he said in a post on his page. “For me, as well as my team, your opinion is important.”
During his four-year stint as president, which ended last year, Medvedev earned a reputation as an active blogger. His Twitter account currently has almost 2 million followers, and his page on Russia’s most-popular social network, VKontakte, has more than 1.6 million.
